After 59 years living in Muskoka, I recently returned to live just outside of Hamilton and have such fond memories of growing up near King St and Victoria. I lived there for 18 years and it was like living in a small town. Everyone knew each other, and we ‘hung out’ at an ice cream parlour called the Jumbo on King St. It is sad to see how that area has so deteriorated. Your column was most interesting!
